Haematology

Our haematologists, Dr Steven Moran, and Dr Ian Tang, provide specialist assessment and management of individuals with malignant and non-malignant haematologic (blood system) disorders.

Haematologic malignancies include such conditions as lymphoma, leukaemias, myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloproliferative disorders.

Non-malignant haematologic disorders include anaemias, white cell and platelet disorders, iron deficiency, iron overload, clotting disorders and bleeding disorders.

Our haematologists provide care on an outpatient, and inpatient (Mater Hospital) basis. They have attachments and collaborations with pathology laboratories, allied services, specialists of other disciplines, and other haematology services.
