Dr. Ian Tang
Haematologist

 
Dr Ian Tang is a clinical and laboratory haematologist, and a palliative care physician. He is an accredited clinical haematologist at the Mater Hospital, North Sydney.

Ian graduated from The University of Sydney and finished his Basic Physician Training at Concord Hospital. He completed his haematology training at Royal North Shore Hospital, and his palliative medicine training within the Sydney Institute of Palliative Medicine network. He is currently a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM) and The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). He is a member of the Haematology Society of Australia & New Zealand, the American Society of Haematology and is a supervisor for the RACP.

His clinical interests are in myeloproliferative diseases and myeloma. He is also interested in ensuring good symptom control in patients with malignancies.

He is currently the chair of the Mater Hospital Transfusion Committee.
