Dr. Luke Ardolino
Medical Oncologist

Dr Luke Ardolino is an Australian trained Medical Oncologist who manages patients with a broad spectrum of cancers, but his specialist areas of interest include breast and genitourinary malignancies.

Dr Ardolino graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Leeds (UK), in 2010 and completed medical oncology subspecialty training at the Royal North Shore and St Vincent’s hospitals, being awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2020.

He subsequently completed his Fellowship years in Breast and Genitourinary cancers, followed by Phase 1 oncology trials at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre. Alongside this, Dr Ardolino completed his Masters of Research (Medicine) under Professor Lisa Horvath at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. During this time, he completed in-vitro research investigating the tumour microenvironment in prostate cancer cell-lines and was an investigator on several breast and prostate cancer trials.

Dr Ardolino also actively participates in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training, he is a clinical examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and was previously the Network Director of Physician Education and Training at the St Vincent’s Hospital training network. Dr Ardolino has a number of peer-reviewed publications and review articles. His specific research interests include the treatment of prostate cancer, breast cancer, and immunotherapy.

Dr Ardolino regularly attends national and international conferences to ensure that patients benefit from the most recent advances in cancer treatment. He is also actively involved in the multidisciplinary care of his patients and meets regularly with the respective multidisciplinary teams at The Mater, Royal North Shore, and Northern Beaches hospitals. Dr Ardolino is an active member of the eviQ reference committees for breast, prostate, renal and bladder cancers, as well as being an active member of the ANZUP and Breast Cancer Trials groups.
